The World Wine Awards award a gold medal, with 96 points, to De Alberto Dorado Dulce; the historic De Alberto Dorado also rises with a gold, with 95 points, and De Alberto Pálido takes a silver, with 92 points
Yesterday De Alberto wines received new awards that recognize their quality and the work carried out by the winery, placing them once again at the top of the Verdejos for Decanter. The World Wine Awards have awarded the gold medal with 96 points to De Alberto Dorado Dulce, the historic De Alberto Dorado also rises with a gold, with 95 points, and De Alberto Pálido takes the silver medal, with 92 points.
De Alberto Dorado Dulce Verdejo 100% DO Rueda de Bodegas De Alberto, gold medalist at the World Wine Awards with 96 points, is especially dedicated to lovers of special elaborations. Suggestive and surprising, it is a revolution combined with different gastronomic proposals. Made with oxidative aging in open-air demijohns and in casks under a solera system for at least two years, it has a limited edition of 1,000 bottles.
De Alberto Dorado Verdejo 100% DO Rueda de Bodegas De Alberto, also distinguished with the gold medal and 95 points, is produced according to the traditional method by Bodegas Hijos de Alberto Gutiérrez for more than 70 years, an example of the consistency and diversity of the Verdejo wines with Rueda Denomination of Origin. This new score is in addition to the 98 points he achieved in the Decanter tasting panel, in addition to other awards including the Platinum Medal at the „Decanter World Wine Awards for two consecutive years; the Great Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles; the Great Gold Bacchus; the Great Gold Medal in Vinespaña; the 95 Guía Peñín Points or the 91 Parker Wine Advocate Points.
De Alberto Pálido Verdejo 100% DO Rueda from Bodegas De Alberto, biologically aged under a flor veil for more than three years in barrels, has been qualified with the silver medal and 92 points at the World Awards Decanter 2022. With a long tradition in the elaboration of generous wines, which dates back to the productions of the Dominican monks in the underground galleries of Bodegas De Alberto since 1657, Bodegas Hijos De Alberto Gutiérrez can be considered as the benchmark in the elaboration of this type of wines in the Denomination of Origin wheel currently.
Some awards that are added to those received a few days ago at the 29th Edition of the Brussels World Contest, where Monasterio de Palazuelos Verdejo 2021 won the Gold Medal, while De Alberto Verdejo Ecológico 2021 won the Silver Medal. Also to those obtained last May, when De Alberto Dorado was awarded a Gold Bacchus at the XX Bacchus International Wine Competition 2022.
Bodegas de Alberto is the only winery that has produced the historic Dorado de Rueda wine uninterruptedly and always adhering to the strictest traditional method of oxidative aging in demijohns exposed to the sun and subsequent aging in soleras. Soleras that preserve a mother wine of more than 80 years that constitute an authentic oenological heritage that the Gutiérrez family has guarded since the 40s and transmitted from generation to generation.
In addition to this Gold Bacchus, the winery also saw recognition for the work done with its De Alberto Ecológico 100% Verdejo DO Rueda 2021, made with Certified Organic Agriculture vineyards that won a Gold Medal at the CINVE Awards.
Finally, another four De Alberto wines obtained medals in different categories at the Mezquita Awards held in Córdoba. Thus, De Alberto Dorado, De Alberto Dorado Dulce and De Alberto 80 Aniversario obtained a gold medal while De Alberto Pálido achieved a bronze medal.
In recent months, the winery has also won the Silver Medal in Vinalies with its Finca Valdemoya Rosado, recognition for Best Fortified Wine at the 2021 Verema Awards, this time with De Alberto Dorado, and a special mention for Best Wine Tourism Project, by managing to be among the three most voted initiatives in the same framework.
Other prizes won are the Great Zarcillo de Oro from last October or the Great Gold Medal in Vinespaña; the 95 Guía Peñín Points or the 91 Parker Wine Advocate Points.
